Public Installation

Inspired by a combination of sketches and Venezuela’s “Flor de Hannover,” this curvilinear object was designed to experiment the limits of bristol paper and visualize a dimensional installation.

Intentionally added elements such as the bent of the spiral and the inclination of the flower serve the purpose of creating shades and a feeling of movement. Similar to the actual mechanism in the Flor de Hannover, the flower in the physical model was made to open and close its petals.
