The Retail Design Institute promotes the advancement and collaborative practice of creating environments by working with colleges and universities to develop retail design programs.

Their 54th International Design Awards, held on October 8th, 2025 at the Fashion Institute of Technology brought together leading designers, retailers, educators, students, and industry partners.

With the guidance of Professor Glenn Sokoli, the stage decor was composed of 3 columns (16ft, 8ft and 4ft) surrounded by photos of previous winning projects. The highlight of the design was the institute’s logo displayed in varying sizes, linked together in chain.
